Sizing up the competition

TAKE THAT

Late tonight Kaitlinn brought one of her dolls out. Needless to say a"Toddler Cat Fight" broke out between Senia and the doll. I am not sure if she was jealous or annoyed at the noises the baby could make. Her dad was excited because he has been wanting to smack that noise making baby around before but held back.

There is no truth that Dad is going to start her on a training regimen so she can be in mixed martial arts when she is older. But if anyone know how much those woman fighters make - please let me know - I am curious.

Tia's Birthday

We had Tia's birthday party in our back yard. We invited over 20 kids and most of them showed up. There were two slip and slides in the back yard along with a 8 person kiddie pool. Let's just say our back yard was packed. Good times. We even decorated little surf boards and let the kids color their own beach balls. Both were hits.

The kids seemed to have a great time. Mom and Dad are still comatose.

-- An oldie but a goodie - When Senia was born, Tia, Kaitlinn and I went to the store to get Senia a stuffed animal. As we walked into the store Kaitlinn said let's get her some shoes as well so she can walk. As if it were that easy.

-- The other night I was reading a bed time story to Kaitlinn. She said hang on I need to put my slippers on. She then grabbed each of her slippers and hit them hard against the leg of the crib (her sister's crib). I asked her what she was doing. She looked up at me and said "DUH, I don't want to put my slippers on and have there be spiders in them."

-- We went out for Chinese food the other night. In the middle of the table there was one of those soy sauce containers that had a pouring spout. While we were waiting for our food, Kaitlinn announced to the family that they served breakfast as well. When I asked her how she knew that, she pointed to the soy sauce container and said "look they have syrup on the table."

-- We read that if you have ants, that a good way to get rid of them is to put down corn meal. Ants apparently can not digest it, so they will carry it off and then die. So one night, I am making chili and Shannon gets out the corn meal to make corn bread. Kaitlinn walks up and says, "what are you making." Shannon says that she is making corn bread. Kaitlinn replies, "with the stuff we use to kill ants?" --- so clever.

-- The other day at dinner, Shannon mentioned that the following day would be Great Grandma Flowers B-day (Shannon's Grandmother who passed away before Kaitlinn was born). Without missing a beat, Kaitlinn looked up at Shannon and said, "you know she is dead."
